Activity Instructions

  1. Arrange for your team to stand in a circle.
  2. Turn to the person on your left and say the word “hello” in a selected Indigenous language and either shake hands, do an elbow bump, or a fist bump.
  3. Smile and nod to indicate you are done greeting.
  4. The person who received the greeting says “hello” back in the respective language, smiles, and turns to the person on their left.
  5. Repeat this process.
  6. Continue this chain of greeting, handshake, and smile until everyone in the circle has had a turn.
